Future Hymn: Pre-studies
A continuous documentation of sonic contemplationsContemplation(s) is a series of recordings and live performances by sound artist Tomas Nordmark, functioning as pre-studies to the Future Hymn project and are based on up to 500 years old hymn tunes. In the slow and drone-filled compositions, inspired by ideas and practices in minimalist works by composers such as La Monte Young and Eliane Radigue and performed with an synthesized timbre reminiscent of both church organs and electronic musical instruments, Nordmark seeks a focal point of traditional liturgical practice, spiritual experiences and future sonics.
